The second you’re working with a weirdly shaped bending furnace or a batch interior that feels like a sardine can, those “off-the-shelf” tubes just won’t cut it. You can’t exactly hammer a straight lamp into a curved space. That’s where we come in. We just build the lamps to fit your actual layout, bending the glass and adjusting the length so you aren’t fighting your own equipment.
Getting the Heat Exactly Where It Needs to Be
We don’t just “make it fit.” We focus on the physics of the gap. When we curve an element to match your specific radius, we can wrap the heat source much tighter around your workpiece. Less wasted space means less heat escaping into the void and more of it actually hitting your part. You can also dial in the wattage and voltage to match your grid. If you cram more wattage into a shorter, curved tube, you get a serious punch of heat density. Just a heads-up: that much heat in a small area puts a lot of stress on your lamp holders. Make sure your brackets are sturdy, or they’ll warp under the pressure.
The Nitty-Gritty Stuff
We use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because it doesn’t freak out or burn out when things get incredibly hot. Depending on what you’re heating—whether it’s a specific polymer or a metal alloy—we can add coatings to the glass. This shifts the emission spectrum so the material actually “grabs” the heat instead of letting it bounce off. And we won’t leave you hanging with the wiring. We use R7s or Sk15 bases to make sure the connection is tight. A loose plug is a recipe for arcing, and nobody wants to deal with a premature failure in the middle of a shift.
What This Actually Does for Your Floor
When you use custom shapes, you can pack more elements into the same amount of space. More heating surface in the same cubic volume means your ramp-up time drops. You get to your target temperature faster. One quick tip: since custom lengths change the electrical resistance, just double-check that your control system is tuned correctly. You don’t want to accidentally overshoot your temp and ruin a batch.
