When you’re showering, that thick mist finds every tiny gap in the seal. It creeps into the wiring, causes a short, and suddenly your heater is a paperweight. That’s why we’ve been moving toward high-IP waterproof infrared heaters lately. It isn’t about making the bathroom look fancy. It’s about stopping water from getting where it doesn’t belong. When a unit has a high “Ingress Protection” (IP) rating, it means the guts of the machine are actually sealed off from vapor and splashes. It’s the difference between a heater that lasts for years and one that trips your breaker every time you take a hot shower. The magic of infrared Here is the best part: infrared is just different. Standard heaters try to warm up the air. But if you have a drafty bathroom or a window that doesn’t seal quite right, that heat just floats away. You’re basically trying to heat the whole room.
