Mold loves two things: stagnant air and damp surfaces. Typical heaters try to warm the whole room, but that’s slow. Our tech doesn’t bother with the air. It sends energy straight into the surface of your walls and ceilings. It bumps the temperature up quickly, which forces the hidden moisture to evaporate. Think of it like this: if the wall stays warm enough, water can’t settle there. No condensation means no place for mold spores to grow. Simple. The nitty-gritty (and what to watch out for)
Inside the unit, we use quartz glass and a halogen core. This helps us hit a very specific wavelength (0.76 to 1.5 $\mu$m) so the heat hits the wall, not the air. But here’s the thing: these lamps are powerful. They put out a lot of concentrated heat. **Don’t mount them too close to your plastic fixtures.**If you do, you might actually warp the plastic. We suggest leaving at least 1.2 meters of space. It keeps things safe and spreads the heat more evenly.
Setting it up for a fresher home
To get this running, you’ll want a moisture-resistant junction box for the wiring. But for the best results? Pair the heater with a timed exhaust fan. The lamp pushes the moisture out of the walls, and the fan sucks it out of the room. It’s the quickest way to get rid of that heavy, musty “old shower” smell. Your bathroom just feels cleaner.
